Yellow willemite crystals are very rare and this is an amazingly rich yellow willemite specimen, completely composed of bright yellow, lustrous, jewel-like willemite xls averageing about 1-2 mm in size. A unique and beautiful thumbnail! "T" for Tsumeb!

One of the prettiest, bluest, gemmiest willemites I have yet to see from Tsumeb, this was a treasured miniature acquired by the Sussmans when they purchased the famous Erik Louw collection in Africa in 1998. I've wanted it ever since. Note the exceptional crystal form for the species, in gemmy crystals to 5 mm. It glistens and glitters and if anything has more color in person. The whole piece is damn near a floater, complete on all sides save contact at the very bottom, and is translucent. WOW!




T92 Willemite on Ferroan Willemite - $950

A superb large plate with yellow-cored, barrel-shaped willemite crystals on matrix of ferroan willemite. Willemite crystals of this quality are hard to come by, and here there are dozens of them (to 5 mm in size), all richly colored on contrasting matrix! This piece was purchased from the Zweibels.
